After being granted a permanent residence (green card), I was required to be living in the states with it for at least 5 years before I can apply for naturalization.
5 years later, I had to file the form N-400 for the citizenship test, taken fingerprints to match my name, filled out the form, and waited for the call. Me and my parents applied the same day, and it was funny to think that I was last to wait for a response from the USCIS (US Customs and Immigration Services.)
